80 Kingstonians converged on the Harbour Restaurant in Portsmouth to enjoy a 3
course meal and to support the Kingston Green
Party. Attendees were treated to a fascinating talk
by Dr. John Smol, Queen's science professor, recently voted Canada's
top scientist, and the entertaining musical stylings of master
percussionist Teilhard Frost. Also in attendance was Tom
Manley, Green Party of Canada Deputy Leader, who gave a
short, rousing speech to end the evening.
Tickets were $50, $75 or $100 depending on the level
of donation desired by the supporter. Bidding in the silent
auction was very active on items ranging from original framed
artworks by local artists to singing lessons, push mowers and gift
certificates from many local businesses. In the end, the
Kingston Greens added several thousand dollars to their campaign
fund from this very enjoyable event.

- First of all, we'd like to extend a hearty thanks to Elia and the staff at The Harbour Restaurant
who did an excellent job hosting and catering the event.
-
Our sincere gratitude goes to Dr. John Smol for delivering an entertaining and thought-provoking
speech, after returning from Prague only 36 hours earlier. We appreciate your generosity and
your dedication to advancing awareness and knowledge about the major environmental challenges faced by our
generation, including acid rain and climate change.
-
Our thanks to the indefatigable Teilhard Frost for his highly entertaining musical performance,
boundless energy, and a fascinating, impromptu didgeridoo lesson for the entire group!
-
A big thank you to Ben Mogl-MacLean and Graham Lodge for helping us
distribute posters around town, advertising the event.
-
Thanks also to all the generous silent auction donors.
And to all of those who made bids. And to all of those in attendance for helping us generate
funds and excitement for the next federal election.

Master Percussionist
Teilhard Frost!
We were delighted that this
year's fund-raising dinner featured musical entertainment by
Teilhard Frost with instruments from around the world. A
masterful percussionist, Teilhard can lay down a groove with
anything from a walnut to a piece of cheese. Originally from
Manitoulin Island, Teilhard now roams the planet with
Flapjack and other bands such as the Groovemongers and
Into the Woods.
